Rabat – In the second half of its term, the government will concentrate on bolstering investment dynamics and job creation, Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch announced on Thursday in Rabat.
In his address at the opening session of the Government Council, Akhannouch outlined key priorities for the latter half of the government’s term. He emphasized a dual focus on advancing investment dynamics and creating jobs.
Akhannouch affirmed that these efforts will run parallel to ongoing initiatives aimed at solidifying the foundations of the social state, as directed by King Mohammed VI. He highlighted that fostering a conducive investment climate is essential for supporting sustainable economic growth.
The Head of Government also stressed the importance of balancing social and economic objectives, aligning with the King’s vision for national development.
“At the beginning of the new political year, we face significant challenges that necessitate a heightened effort to implement the government’s public policies. We must accelerate our work pace and show both seriousness and efficiency in executing the scheduled projects,” stated Akhannouch.
He added that this is “crucial to fulfilling the responsibility entrusted to us by the King and earning the trust of the Moroccan people.”
In this regard, Akhannouch emphasized the Royal High Directives outlined in the Throne Speech, describing them as “a guiding compass for the government’s actions,” particularly concerning the strategic management of water resources. This necessitates the ongoing update of the national water policy mechanisms and the acceleration of relevant projects, he further noted.
Akhannouch highlighted that these Royal Directives provide a clear approach. As per the orientation note for the 2025 Finance Bill, the government will continue to implement reform initiatives across all sectors with the required speed and efficiency, aiming to achieve the government’s program objectives.
