Rabat – In a heartfelt tribute to Moroccan sporting excellence, King Mohammed VI has extended his warm congratulations to the country’s Paralympic champions following their impressive performances at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
Among the standout athletes celebrated was Fatima Zahra Idrissi, who made history by winning the gold medal in the marathon (T12 category) and setting a new world record. Idrissi also earned a silver medal in the 1500m race (T13 category).
Runner Ayman El Hadawi was recognized for his remarkable performance, securing the gold medal in the 400m race (T47 category) and setting a new world record.
El Hadawi also earned a bronze medal in the 100m race (T47 category). Additionally, Moncef Bouja was honored for his gold medal victory in the 400m race (T12 category).
King Mohammed VI’s messages highlighted the athletes’ dedication and perseverance, underscoring their role in elevating Moroccan sports on the global stage.
The King expressed his admiration for their achievements and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence, wishing them ongoing success in their athletic careers and in future international competitions.
The royal commendations extended to other remarkable athletes who contributed to Morocco’s Paralympic success. Mariam Nougi, Yousra Karim, Abdelilah Kani, Ayoub Sadni, and Azeddine Nouiri, who all won silver medals in their respective events, were acknowledged for their impressive performances.
Bronze medalists Saida Amoudi, Rajae Agramach, Ayoub Edouich, Zakaria Derhem, and El Amine Chentouf also received praise from the King, who recognized their efforts in representing Moroccan sports with distinction.
