Morocco aim to maintain perfect start
Morocco will enter the November fixtures with confidence after winning their opening two matches in the qualifying campaign.
The Atlas Lions defeated Gabon 2-0 before recording another 2-0 victory against Lesotho, collecting six points from a possible six.
These results have placed Morocco at the top of Group A, giving Ouahbi’s side an encouraging start in their bid to qualify for the 2027 tournament.
The upcoming matches against Niger will be important for Morocco’s qualification hopes, with two additional victories potentially strengthening their lead in the group.
The November training camp will also give Ouahbi another opportunity to work with his players and prepare the squad for the challenges ahead.
With the squad announcement scheduled for November 5, attention will now turn to the players Ouahbi chooses for the two encounters.
Morocco will look to continue their positive momentum and maintain their unbeaten record in the qualifiers.
The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, marking the first time the three East African countries will jointly host the continental competition.
