Mohammed VI Polytechnic University’s (UM6P) Career Center organized this week the 5th PreWork, providing a platform for interaction between students and recruiters from various sectors.

The event took place on the university’sBen Guerir campus and brought together over 60 companies and 150 recruiters to facilitate direct talks between students and employers, UM6P said in a statement.

“This new edition of PreWork stood out for its interactive and dynamic format, fostering natural exchanges between students and recruiters,” the statement noted, adding that the event allowed participants to gain a better understanding of market expectations.

Mariam El Aichaoi, Head of the Career Center, expressed satisfaction with the event as well as  the Program Advisory Committee (PAC), which was launched on the eve of the event to redefine collaboration between the university and industry to adapt training to market realities.

This program brought together experts from different sectors, offering different perspectives on gender equity and strong focus on new industrial needs.

According to the university’s statement, the PACs’ main mission is to feed the curriculum by integrating market trends and create a framework for ongoing dialogue to anticipate the skills needed in the future.

“PreWork and the Program Advisory Committee are concrete examples of UM6P’s commitment to building lasting bridges between academia and industry,” El Aichaoi explained, adding that the initiatives reflect the ability to anticipate the changes in the world of work and train talents capable of addressing emerging needs through innovative and collaborative approaches.

The UM6P statement also emphasized the school’s commitment to continue to work to ready students through training for agile and innovative leaders who can face future challenges.

It concluded that today’s event notably was marked by the significant involvement of the UM6P alumni, with many serving as part of the event’s organizing committees or as mentors and advisors to the university’s current students.
