Thomas Reilly, former British ambassador to Morocco, is making a  return to the North African country as a senior consultant for Euros/Agency Africa.

Reilly will take on an advisory role on geopolitical analysis, government relations, and international trade.

According to the company’s press release, his appointment is part of Euros/Agency Group’s push to expand its influence in Africa and Europe, leveraging Reilly’s familiarity with Morocco and his extensive diplomatic expertise.

The group aims to strengthen its standing in public affairs and  consulting across key markets.

The former envoy’s appointment seeks to contribute to the group’s strengthening of its political efforts, providing  analysis of political environments  and political dynamics in Africa.

He will also support the agency on European public affairs, advising the group’s clients on complex issues related to international trade ties.

Reilly stated that joining the agency is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the group’s growing expansion.

Reilly served as British envoy to Morocco from June 2017 to August 2020, when he was succeeded by current Ambassador Simon Martin

He also served as a non-resident ambassador to Mauritania from 2017 and 2018.

His diplomatic portfolio further includes his former post as a special advisor in charge of international government relations and regulatory affairs at Royal Dutch Shell.

Reilly joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1998 and served as deputy head of mission in Cairo. He worked in political affairs in Argentina, Yemen, and Kuwait.
