Rabat– Salim El Jebari, a Moroccan international talent and Atlético Madrid standout player, has joined FC Cartagena (Liga 2) on loan until the end of the 2024-2025 season.

The two Spanish clubs have reached a deal for the Moroccan forward, who will continue his journey at the Murcian club for the remainder of the season, stated the Madrid-based club.

This agreement stands as an opportunity for the  20-year-old player to grow further and develop his skills with FC Cartagena, after making his official debut with Atlético’s first team last season against Cádiz.

Atletico Madrid believes that this move will give El Jebari a chance to gain a first team experience within the competitive Spanish second division.

FC Cartagena welcomed the Moroccan international to their squad, describing him as “fast and with an eye for goal,” capable of excelling both as a winger and as a forward.

Salim El Jebari is known for his ability to operate effectively on both flanks, leveraging his speed and goal-scoring instinct.

The transfer gives the head coach of FC Cartagena, Guillermo Fernández Romo, a new offensive option to strengthen the attack of his squad for the second half of the season. The club said it is eager to benefit from the Moroccan player’s talents as they push to rise in the ranking table of Liga 2 in the upcoming campaigns.

El Jebari has already left his mark with Atlético Madrid’s B team, scoring 4 goals and featuring in 32 matches last season. He has been with the RijoBlanco club since 2018 and progressed through the club’s ranks.
