Rabat – Air Arabia Maroc announced today that it is expanding its domestic network through the launch of a new direct flight between Rabat and Essaouira.

The airline will begin operating the new destination on April 14 with two flights a week on Mondays and Fridays.

“With this initiative, the airline reaffirms its commitment to offering accessible, seamless, and efficient travel throughout Morocco,” the company said.

Flights will take off from Rabat-Sale Airport on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. and will arrive at Essaouira Mogador Airport at 2:40 p.m.

Return flights will be at 3:20 p., landing in Rabat at 4:25 p.m.

On Fridays, departure from Rabat is set at 4:55 p.m. and the arrival time will be at 6:05 p.m. in Essaouira.

The return flight departs at 6:45 p.m. and lands in Rabat at 7:50 p.m.

Air Arabia will operate the flight through Airbus A320 aircraft, with the route catering to both business travelers and tourists.

The airline said its commitment to continue strengthening its domestic network, enhancing air links from Rabat to different key destinations across Morocco, including Agadir, Oujda, and Nadr.

“This expansion provides greater flexibility for travelers and boosts both the economy and the tourism sector by connecting Morocco’s main cultural and commercial hubs,” the statement added. It noted that Essaouira is a UNESCO World Heritage city that attracts visitors with its rich historical past, picturesque setting, and iconic music festivals that draw an increasing number of visitors each year.

The airline concluded its statement by inviting customers interested in the new route to book their flights via Air Arabia’s official website, through its mobile app, call center, or through partner travel agencies.
