Rabat — Manchester United is satisfied with Morocco’s international Noussair Mazraoui and his services since he joined the club last summer.

The club stressed how Mazraoui proved his adaptability over the course of the campaign, impressing in different positions, including at wing-back or in defense.

“The Morocco international has been able to impress, not only at wing-back or in the central defensive slots, but also on both flanks,” the club said on Saturday.

Manchester United also featured its coach Ruben Amorim, who acknowledged that the Atlas Lion can play in different positions.

“I see him as one of the defenders at this moment, because of his quality, he can defend,” the coach said.

He can also play one against one, or defending and attacking, the coach said, noting that he sees  Mazraoui  with a “future to play as a wing-back and as a centre-back.”

Mazraoui has made 30 appearances as part of the Premier League since he joined Manchester United last year in August.

The Moroccan star shared inspirational thoughts in a meeting with the club’s Muslim supporters at Old Trafford in March, urging youth to follow their dreams.

“Never lose sight of your dreams,” he said, noting, “seeing your parents so proud is something that makes you more proud.”

Mazraoui is also a key football player for Morocco’s national team, with whom he appeared in key competitions like AFCON and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
