Rabat — After a remarkable journey defined by dedication and exceptional talent, Morocco’s Mindcraft Senior team has earned the Peer Award at the prestigious FIRST World Robotics Competition held in Houston, USA — marking a milestone achievement in the country’s growing momentum of technological innovation.
The team described the moment their names were announced to a cheering crowd as one of “pure magic,” a heartfelt recognition from fellow top-tier robotics teams from around the globe.
“More than a trophy, this award means recognition from fellow teams around the world — and that’s what makes it truly special,” the team shared on social media. “Thank you to everyone who supported us, believed in us, and shared this journey.”
Mindcraft Senior secured its place in the international finals after advancing through Morocco’s national qualifiers, alongside three other standout teams: Novatard, Robot 11 Janvier, and 3andiBlasti.
The global competition, held from April 15–19, was organized by FIRST, a leading platform dedicated to empowering young minds through STEM—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—with the mission of preparing the next generation to lead and innovate.
In Morocco, the event was made possible through the efforts of LOOP For Science & Technology, a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious association devoted to advancing STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics—particularly among youth.
LOOP took to social media to applaud all four Moroccan teams who “carried the Moroccan flag all the way to Houston,” praising their talent, determination, and the “spirit of a new generation determined to make a difference.”
“You’ve made us proud. You’ve made your families proud. You’ve made Morocco proud. And while this journey may have reached its final stop, the story is only just beginning,” LOOP stated.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Moroccan youth through education and innovation, concluding with a message of hope and encouragement: “KEEP DREAMING. KEEP BUILDING. KEEP SHINING. We’ll be right beside you, every step of the way.”
