Rabat – Gaza’s Health Ministry confirmed two more deaths from famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, bringing the total hunger-related death in the enclave to 271, including 112 children.

This calculated deprivation of food and essential resources is weaponized as a tool of control and destruction against Gaza’s civilian population amid Israel’s genocidal campaign.

Israel has intensified operations in Gaza, forcing nearly one million people from their homes and systematically demolishing Palestinian residences.

Christian Cardon, chief spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), described the situation as dire. “The intensification of hostilities in Gaza means more killing, more displacement, more destruction and more panic,” he told Al Jazeera.

Cardon noted that access to healthcare, food, and safe water is shrinking rapidly, while the safety of humanitarian workers deteriorates by the hour.

The blockade, paired with relentless IOF attacks, leaves Gaza trapped in a deadly cycle of hunger, violence, and constant fear.

Medical sources in Gaza told Al Jazeera that at least 20 people have been killed by Israeli strikes across the coastal enclave since dawn. Among the victims were eight individuals seeking aid.

The Israeli government’s move to push forward with its planned Gaza City offensive, without even discussing nor considering the latest ceasefire proposal that Hamas responded positively to shows it has no intention to put an end to the genocide.

As the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza deepens, as civilians are left without safe shelters, food, or even clean water.

The escalating inhumane situation comes after Israel announced its intentions to illegally occupy Gaza City, further intensifying the apocalyptic circumstances in the enclave and leaving the population teetering on the brink of utter annihilation.
