Rabat – Moroccan coach Tarik Sektioui, who recently guided the national team to victory in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), has said that his next ambition is to secure the Arab Cup title in Qatar.
Fresh off Morocco’s third CHAN triumph, Sektioui explained that the squad’s aspirations have grown stronger, with many players determined to leave a mark in the upcoming Arab competition.
He acknowledged that the tournament will bring together powerful teams from across the Arab world, making the contest for the trophy highly competitive.
“The ambition is clear,” Sektioui said, asserting that his players’ hunger for success has only increased.
He also saidthat the challenge in Qatar will require consistency, resilience, and the same collective spirit that carried the team through CHAN.
Morocco’s delegation returned home on Sunday from Nairobi after securing the historic title, which marked the country’s third CHAN victory.
With this achievement, Sektioui joins the ranks of Jamal Sellami and Houcine Ammouta, the two Moroccan coaches who had previously led the national squad to CHAN glory.
The triumph not only reaffirmed Morocco’s dominance in the competition but also set the stage for a new chapter, as Sektioui and his squad now turn their focus to the Arab Cup, hoping to lift another continental trophy.
