Italian-Colombian Analyst Proposes Strange Plan to Relocate Gazans to Western Sahara

The move comes as criticism of Israel’s genocide and starvation in Gaza is growing internationally, with some countries calling for economic sanctions on the country.

Rabat — An Italian-Colombian political analyst named Rafael Castro has sparked controversy with a proposal to relocate Gaza’s population to Morocco’s Western Sahara region.

The analyst claimed this would offer a “realistic and sustainable solution” to the Israeli-induced genocide and catastrophic humanitarian and security crisis in the Palestinian territory.

Castro published his analysis on the Israel National News website, arguing that “the situation in Gaza can no longer continue.”

Disregarding Morocco’s sovereignty over the territory and that it’s up to the country to have a say in this, he suggested that relocating Gaza’s residents to the Western Sahara, which he describes as rich in natural resources but underpopulated and underdeveloped, could form the basis for a “long-term solution” that reduces Middle East tensions while strengthening Morocco’s regional role.

Castro argued that while the region contains abundant phosphate reserves, fishing resources, and solar energy potential, its population barely reaches 600,000 people.

Oblivious of the Sahara region’s own ongoing dispute and Morocco’s efforts to develop and fully recover its southern provinces, he claimed to only be stepping into this geopolitical minefield out of genuine concern for the region’s economic and demographic future.

Hosting Gaza’s more than two million residents would accelerate regional development and boost Morocco’s demographic presence in the area, he claimed.

‘The savior of Palestinians’?

As Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Gulf states, Europe, and the US remain “unable or unwilling” to absorb new waves of Palestinian refugees, he suggested, Morocco could be the “most credible option” for welcoming forcibly displaced Gazans.

Morocco could actually add another layer to its international prestige by emerging as the “savior of Palestinians,” he wishfully argued, sugarcoating the genocidal displacement of Palestinians from their lands while dismissing both Morocco’s commitment to its southern provinces and its support for the Palestinian cause.

Pulling this operation off would benefit Israel by permanently “removing the security threat from its borders,” he wrote, revealing his real motivation for making such a wild suggestion in the first place.

Forgetting that Gaza’s people are being besieged by his country, Castro describes the enclave’s humanitarian situation as the ongoing suffocation of two million people trapped in a narrow space, contrasting this with the Western Sahara’s vast territory and opportunities for growth and development.

In his deranged, unconventional reading of both the Sahara and Gaza situations, he believes the outlandish operation he is calling for will be a much-needed charity.

Albeit for Israel – but rather for Morocco, which he is misguided enough to believe would happily give up its sovereignty over its southern provinces to please Israel; and for Palestinians, whom he hopes would be glad to be uprooted from their fatherland to be taken to a faraway place for Israel’s blessing.

Ultimately, as the world continues to condemn Israel’s murderous campaign in Gaza, this analyst seems to believe the best solution to the humanitarian mess Israel has made in Palestine is to even create further chaos and call it peace and prosperity.
