Crown Prince Moulay Hassan inaugurated the rebuilt Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The stadium, part of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Complex, has a capacity of 68,500, making it the country’s second-largest. Reconstruction began in 2023 and was completed in under two years. The project was led by Moroccan firm Orange Atelier in partnership with Populous.
The inauguration was attended by the workforce involved in the stadium’s reconstruction. It officially opens to the public on Friday with Morocco’s national team playing Niger in a 2026 World Cup qualifier. The Atlas Lions will hold their final training session today at 19:00, ahead of the match kicking off on Friday at 20:00. All tickets have been sold in record time.

The complex also houses an Olympic swimming pool, football training pitches, and an indoor multisport arena. The stadium is expected to host key matches during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
