Turkish authorities have found the body of a young Moroccan woman in her Turkish boyfriend’s apartment in Istanbul.

The tragic incident unfolded as the 20-year-old woman reportedly suddenly fell ill while inside the apartment in an upscale Istanbul neighborhood.

The boyfriend called for emergency help to deliver medical aid to his ill girlfriend.

However, efforts to save her life proved unsuccessful and she died under “mysterious” circumstances.

After finding drugs inside the apartment, Turkish police launched a thorough investigation into the case, and arrested the Turkish boyfriend on suspicion of intentional murder.

Early investigations suggest the young woman’s death may have resulted from complications related to drug use, though police have not ruled out negligence or even a premeditated crime.

Converging reports indicate that officials have transported the victim’s body back to Morocco this week.

The young woman’s family reportedly buried her at a cemetery in Marrakech, while relatives and friends mourned her tragic death.

The case continues to develop as Turkish authorities work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the young woman’s death.

A similar case happened in 2021, a British-Syrian man killed his Moroccan girlfriend during Valentine’s Day celebrations after learning about his partner’s alleged infidelity.

The man stabbed the victim in the throat and then repeatedly in seven different parts of her body.
