Rabat – The Spanish Supercopa semifinals are officially set, with two highly anticipated matches scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Real Madrid will face city rivals Atlético Madrid on January 8, 2026, while Barcelona will take on Athletic Club on January 9, 2026.
Both games will be played at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium, continuing the tournament’s tradition of being hosted abroad.
Real Madrid heads into the Supercopa semifinal against Atlético Madrid looking to bounce back from a heavy 5–2 defeat in their last meeting. That loss came in La Liga on September 27, 2025, and marked the madristas’ first defeat of the season.
Meanwhile, Barcelona will face Athletic Club in a rematch of several past Supercopa encounters.
Barcelona qualified as Copa del Rey winners, and Bilbao earned their spot as the fourth team based on league performance.
The winners of each semifinal will meet in the final on January 11, 2026, also in Riyadh. The format remains single-elimination confrontation, with no second legs scheduled.
If matches end in a draw, extra time and penalties will decide the outcome.
