Rabat – Saudi Arabia secured an important 3–2 win over Indonesia in the fourth round of the AFC World Cup 2026 qualifiers after a thrilling match at Al-Inmaa Stadium in Jeddah
Indonesia opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a penalty by Kevin Diks after a defensive error.
Saudi Arabia responded quickly, and Al-Shamat equalized in the 17th minute. In the 36th minute, Al-Buraikan won a penalty and scored to make it 2–1 for Saudi Arabia

Al-Buraikan added his second goal in the 62nd minute to extend the lead to 3–1. Indonesia tried to come back in the match and scored from a penalty in the 82nd minute, but couldn’t equalize.
Saudi Arabia registered 14 shots, 9 on target, and controlled possession. Indonesia had 6 shots, 2 on target, and struggled to break down Saudi Arabia’s defense late in the game.
Saudi Arabia now has 3 points in Group B, behind Iraq. Their next match is on October 14 against Iraq, a key fixture in the race for World Cup qualification.
