The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced that locally heavy thunderstorms, accompanied by gusts of wind, are expected this Thursday in several regions of Morocco.

According to an orange-level weather alert issued by the DGM, rainfall ranging between 15 and 30 millimeters is forecast from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the provinces of Figuig, Boulemane, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Taourirt, Khemisset, and El Hajeb.

Residents of these areas are urged to exercise caution, avoid flood-prone zones, and stay informed about further weather updates.

Morocco has been experiencing erratic weather in recent weeks, marked by sudden shifts between heatwaves, rain, and strong winds. This irregular pattern has disrupted daily life across several regions, reflecting a broader trend of unpredictable seasonal changes.
