Chemsdine Talbi scored a stoppage-time winner as Sunderland stunned Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, earning their fifth Premier League victory of the season and moving level on points with leaders Arsenal.
Chelsea made the perfect start when Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring in the fourth minute. The Argentine winger latched onto a clever pass from Pedro Neto and fired a low shot past Robin Roefs to net his first goal for the club.

Sunderland, however, refused to be overawed and gradually grew into the game. Their equaliser came in the 22nd minute after Nordi Mukiele’s long throw caused chaos inside the Chelsea box. The Blues failed to clear their lines, allowing Wilson Isidor to pounce and slot the ball into the net from close range.
The second half was fiercely contested, with both sides pushing for a decisive goal. Chelsea dominated possession but struggled to break down Sunderland’s compact defence, while the visitors looked increasingly confident on the counterattack.

In the dying moments, Sunderland found their breakthrough. Substitute Brian Brobbey held up the ball superbly against two defenders before slipping a pass to Talbi, who finished calmly into the bottom corner to silence the home crowd and spark wild celebrations among the travelling fans.
The goal marked Talbi’s first in the Premier League and capped a resilient performance from the Moroccan international, who continues to impress in his debut season in England.
The victory lifts Sunderland to second place on 17 points, behind Arsenal only on goal difference, with the Gunners still to play later in the weekend. Chelsea, meanwhile, remain stuck on 14 points and fall to seventh in the table, having now suffered their third defeat of the campaign.
