Marrakech – Today, the draws for the 2025/2026 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup group stages took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. The draw featured four clubs from Morocco’s top flight division, with RS Berkane and AS FAR representing the Botola Pro in the CAF Champions League, while Wydad AC and Olympic Club Safi are featured in the Confederation Cup.
The draw, which was led by African football icons Alexandre Song and Christopher Katongo, saw AS FAR – Morocco’s first club to win the CAF Champions League in 1985, drawn into Group B – alongside twelve-time African Champions Al Ahly FC from Egypt, Young Africans S.C. from Tanzania, and JS Kabylie from Algeria, two-time winners of the competition themselves (1981 and 1990).
RS Berkane, the current Botola Pro title holders, will share Group A with the 2024/25 CAF Champions League champions Pyramids S.C. from Egypt, as well as Rivers United FC from Nigeria, and Zambian side Power Dynamos F.C.

Confederation Cup Draw
Three-time Champions League winners Wydad Athletic Club will have to settle for playing in the Confederation Cup this season after a disappointing domestic league finish. They will face Congolese side AS Maniema, Azam F.C. from Tanzania, and Nairobi United FC from Kenya as part of Group B action.
The draw also saw Olympic Club Safi, for their first-ever qualification to an African interclub competition following their Moroccan Throne Cup triumph in 2024/25, drawn into Group A alongside USM Alger (Algeria), Djoliba AC (Mali), and FC San-Pedro (Ivory Coast).
This season’s CAF Interclub competitions will be available to be streamed by fans at home via Arryadya and beIN Sports. The competitions will kick off on November 21.
