Rabat – The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) has accredited five specialized firms to conduct assessments of companies applying for the “Label PME Responsable.”
The initiative, launched in May 2025, aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) structure and strengthen their corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies.
By certifying these evaluation firms, CGEM seeks to ensure that the labeling process is rigorous, transparent, and aligned with international standards, thereby promoting responsible business practices across Morocco’s SME sector.
The accredited firms are CERTI TRUST, Bureau Veritas, Targetup Consulting, KPMG, and SGS Maroc.
Their selection was based on expertise in CSR, mastery of national and international sustainability frameworks, and demonstrated independence and methodological rigor.
According to CGEM, this accreditation reflects its commitment to ensuring a transparent, reliable evaluation process aligned with international best practices.
It is also intended to reinforce the quality and credibility of the Responsible SME Label, designed to enhance the sustainability, competitiveness, and attractiveness of Moroccan SMEs while recognizing their role in driving the country’s economic and social development.
This initiative showcases CGEM’s determination to support Moroccan businesses, particularly SMEs, in adopting responsible business models that generate shared value and long-term growth, the Confederation stressed.
In October, CGEM granted its CSR label to Red Med Private Equity following a meeting of its CSR Label Attribution Committee and renewed the distinction for HPS.
The recognition shows both companies’ continued commitment to responsible business practices and their efforts to integrate stakeholder expectations into their strategic and operational policies.
