Rabat – Morocco’s Digital Development Agency (ADD) has adopted a new roadmap aimed at accelerating Morocco’s transition toward a more inclusive and innovative digital ecosystem.
It was adopted during the seventh session of its Administration Board, chaired by Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform.
Held at the Ministry’s headquarters on Friday, the meeting marked a significant step in reinforcing the Agency’s central role in implementing the national “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, according to a press release.
This long-term plan seeks to position the country as a leading regional digital hub with strong innovation capacities, while ensuring that digital transformation contributes to economic competitiveness and improved public service delivery.
Addressing Council members, the Director General of the Agency, Amine El Mezouaghi, reviewed the institution’s core priorities, emphasizing its alignment with the major orientations set by King Mohammed VI.
He stated that the Agency is committed to advancing the gradual digitalization of essential public services, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship within the digital economy, facilitating wider adoption of digital tools among citizens and businesses, reducing territorial and social disparities in digital access, and ensuring transparent, efficient, and accountable governance within the institution.

During the session, the Board approved the Agency’s updated roadmap, its accompanying action plan, and the proposed budget for the coming period. It also endorsed a reorganization project and the revision of the Agency’s human resources framework, a move intended to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen institutional performance as new digital priorities emerge.
“These decisions reflect the commitment of the Digital Development Agency, under the supervision of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, to supporting an inclusive, sustainable, and strategically aligned digital transformation for the Kingdom,” added the statement.
The updated roadmap is expected to reinforce several flagship initiatives already underway, including digital identity, e-government platforms, and support programs for startups and young innovators.
Morocco has taken notable steps in recent years to expand broadband infrastructure, develop regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies, and encourage digital entrepreneurship.
The new roadmap is anticipated to build on these achievements while addressing remaining challenges, such as digital skill gaps, disparities between urban and rural areas, and the need to strengthen cybersecurity resilience as the Kingdom’s digital footprint grows.
The Digital Development Agency affirmed that it will continue working closely with public and private stakeholders to ensure the effective deployment of major digital projects, and to position Morocco as a model for digital governance and innovation in the African region.
