Rabat – The Moroccan women’s futsal team earned an important 3-2 victory over the Philippines in the second round of the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup 2025 group stage.

The match against the hosts, played on Monday in Pasig City in the Philippines, saw Morocco bounce back from their heavy defeat against Argentina and strengthen their chances of reaching the next round.

Goals came from Nadia Lafath, Souhaib Tedlaoui, and Jasmine Damrawi, who each found the net to secure the win.

Despite a late push from the Philippines, Morocco held firm to claim all three points. With this result, Morocco now sits third in Group A with three points, while the Philippines remain bottom without a win.

This tournament is Morocco’s first appearance in the Women’s Futsal World Cup and shows the country’s growing focus on women’s sports.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has been investing in women’s football and futsal to build stronger teams for Africa and the world.

The win over the Philippines shows progress and proves Morocco can compete internationally.

Morocco will next face Poland on November 27 in their final group stage match at the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup 2025.

It will be a tough test, as Poland currently sits second in Group A with 4 points after drawing with Argentina and beating the Philippines. Morocco, meanwhile, is third with 3 points from their win over the Philippines.

This decisive game will determine whether Morocco can advance to the next round. A victory would put them in strong contention, while a draw or loss could leave their fate dependent on other results in the group.
