Rabat — AS FAR face Al Ahly on Friday in the second Matchday of the CAF Champions League group phase. Both teams have different momentum: AS FAR need to bounce back after a defeat, while Al Ahly, the record 12-time CAF Champions League winners, are already in control of Group B.

AS FAR lost 1–0 to Young Africans on Matchday 1, a result that puts pressure on them straight away.

Al Ahly come to Rabat after a 4–1 win over JS Kabylie and despite several key injuries, they’re still one of the tournament’s favorites.

AS FAR return home needing a result after their 1–0 loss to the Young Africans. The squad has been preparing intensively at Stade Moulay El Hassan, with coach Santos trying to sort out the midfield and get the goal-scoring chances flowing again.

Injuries: None confirmed for this match. Khabba is suspended.

Tactically: AS FAR will need all the home advantage they can have to get past the continental giants. They’re planning on relying on high-energy pressing, fast counter-attacks and solid defending to try and counter Al Ahly’s wealth of experience.
