Casablanca – The race between Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Ittihad has heated up to sign Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, as both clubs look to strengthen their midfield during the summer transfer window.
According to Foot Africa, Al-Qadisiyah has submitted an official offer worth 20 million euros to convince Fenerbahçe to part ways with Amrabat, making the player one of its top targets.
The same source explained that Al-Ittihad, led by the new German coach Jens Wissing, also intends to submit a similar offer. If confirmed, the two clubs are likely to go head-to-head for the Moroccan international’s signature in the coming weeks.
This interest comes at a time when Amrabat is no longer a key player in Fenerbahçe’s lineup. With his contract with the Turkish club extending until the summer of 2028, such increased interest from potential suitors may prove ideal for both the player and the Turkish club, with both parties reportedly eager to seize offers that would open the door for his departure this summer.
The Moroccan midfielder spent last season on loan at Real Betis in Spain, where he played 23 matches in various competitions, before returning to Fenerbahçe.
Since joining the Turkish team, Amrabat has played 45 matches in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing three assists, with several clubs keeping tabs on the midfielder.
