Rabat – Morocco’s handicrafts exports recorded strong growth during the first eleven months of 2025, rising by 13% compared to the same period last year.
Total exports exceeded MAD 1.14 billion, according to a statement from the State Secretariat in charge of Handicrafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy.
The positive performance was mainly driven by an excellent result in November 2025, when exports grew by 27% compared to November 2024.
Traditional clothing among top exported products
Pottery and stone products remained the leading export category, accounting for 36% of total handicrafts exports between January and November 2025. However, traditional clothing stood out with a remarkable growth rate of 83%.
This strong increase allowed traditional clothing to enter the top three exported products, with a 17% share of total exports, close to carpets, which accounted for 18%. The share of traditional clothing rose by seven points compared to the same period in 2024.
The United States maintained its position as Morocco’s leading market for handicrafts, capturing nearly half of the total export value (49%). Exports to the US grew by 28% during the period.
France ranked second, despite a drop of eight points in its share to 11%. At the same time, Moroccan handicrafts continued to diversify their markets, with Turkiye entering the top destinations. Exports to the Turkish market tripled, placing it third among Morocco’s handicrafts export markets.
