Rabat – Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is set to carry out a major expansion of its international network as part of its plan to position Casablanca as a global aviation hub.
Beginning in 2026, the national carrier will roll out a new wave of direct routes across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, strengthening its role as a key air bridge between continents, the airline said in a statement.
“These new routes translate our growth ambitions and mark a key stage in our development plan. Since 2023, we have taken delivery of around ten additional aircraft, increased frequencies on several strategic destinations, and opened nearly twenty international routes,” said Royal Air Maroc Chief Executive Officer Hamid Addou.
“In 2026, we move to a new phase with at least ten additional routes, further strengthening Morocco’s connectivity with major global cities and supporting economic and tourism development,” he added.
The expansion strategy rests on reinforcing the medium-haul network while extending long-haul services, supported by the arrival of new aircraft.
Following earlier announcements of a Casablanca-Saint Petersburg route, scheduled for January 2026, and Casablanca-Los Angeles, set for June 2026, the airline will introduce five new routes from Casablanca in April 2026.
These include Pointe-Noire in the Republic of Congo, Tripoli in Libya, Beirut in Lebanon, as well as Bilbao and Alicante in Spain.
In June 2026, a new Casablanca-Palma service will further strengthen the carrier’s Spanish network, which already includes Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Valencia, and Seville.
Italy will also see added capacity with the launch of a direct Casablanca-Verona route from June 20, 2026, complementing existing services to Rome, Milan, Bologna, Naples, Catania, Turin, and Venice.
In France, Royal Air Maroc will expand its footprint with the opening of a Casablanca-Lille route in July 2026.
Alongside network growth, the airline plans to increase frequencies on several long-haul routes, including São Paulo, Miami, Washington, and Dubai.
These additions will be supported by new long-haul aircraft featuring upgraded cabins, improved comfort, and enhanced onboard connectivity aligned with international standards.
Through this latest expansion, Royal Air Maroc aims to strengthen national air connectivity and support tourism flows, while continuing efforts to improve the overall passenger experience.
Tickets for the new routes will go on sale from December 15 via the airline’s website, call centers, commercial agencies, and partner travel agencies.
