Rabat – The Rabat Business School (RBS) at the International University of Rabat (UIR) and the Arrawaj Foundation for Inclusive Finance signed a partnership agreement on Wednesday in Rabat to strengthen cooperation in education, research, innovation, and student integration into the job market.
According to a statement from UIR, this partnership will create new opportunities for RBS students to gain hands-on experience in the microfinance sector. It will also support the recruitment of young graduates and provide continuous training for Arrawaj Foundation staff. The initiative seeks to better connect academic learning with real needs in the field of inclusive finance.
Through this partnership, RBS and the Arrawaj Foundation want to build a lasting bridge between universities and the labor market. Their shared goal is to develop skills that respond to the needs of the inclusive finance sector and contribute to stronger socio-economic inclusion in Morocco.
The cooperation reflects the commitment of both institutions to combine their strengths, added the statement. RBS brings academic excellence, applied research, and innovative teaching methods, while the Arrawaj Foundation contributes its strong presence on the ground, close work with communities, and nearly 30 years of proven social impact.

This partnership also aligns with Morocco’s national efforts to promote entrepreneurship, skills development, and the economic empowerment of young people and women, according to the statement. Planned actions include new teaching approaches, talent development through continuous training, professional integration of students and graduates, as well as events, conferences, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Commenting on the agreement, Nicolas Arnaud, Dean and Director General of Rabat Business School, said the school is proud to partner with the Arrawaj Foundation, whose fieldwork and expertise are widely recognized. He explained that the partnership reflects RBS’s vision of being a business school deeply connected to its ecosystem and committed to positive social impact. He added that it will offer students a unique opportunity to understand the realities of entrepreneurship in Morocco.
Meanwhile, Nada Fassi Fehri, Deputy Director General of the Arrawaj Foundation, also welcomed the partnership. She noted that combining Arrawaj’s experience built over nearly three decades with the academic excellence of RBS will allow the two institutions to bring together education, real-world experience, and social engagement. She stated that the foundation aims to share its know-how, invest in talent development, and help create innovative solutions for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Morocco.
