Agadir – Morocco’s Oncorad Group has received an international Excellence Award from MicroPort MedBot, a global company specializing in robotic surgery technologies, in recognition of its achievements in robot-assisted surgery.

The award was presented during WHX Dubai, a major global event bringing together leading actors in healthcare and medical technology.

The recognition comes as the group marks a significant milestone of completing more than 400 robotic surgical procedures in Morocco, mainly at the Littoral Clinic Ain Diab in Casablanca.

The clinic is the first healthcare facility in the country to integrate a robotic surgery system, positioning Oncorad Group among the pioneers of advanced surgical innovation across the African continent.

Oncorad introduced robotic surgery in 2024 as part of a broader strategy to modernize healthcare delivery through advanced medical technologies.

The group focuses on combining medical expertise, specialized training, and technological innovation to improve patient outcomes and strengthen care quality.

Robotic-assisted surgery allows doctors to perform procedures with greater precision while reducing complications, blood loss, and post-operative pain.

It also helps shorten hospital stays and recovery times, contributing to a better overall patient experience. For Oncorad Group, the integration of robotics is part of a broader vision that places innovation at the service of patient-centered care rather than technology alone.

The group highlighted the contribution of its medical and paramedical teams, whose expertise and commitment have supported the expansion of robotic surgery in Morocco.

It also praised MicroPort MedBot for the recognition, describing it as a reflection of the group’s growing role in innovative medicine both nationally and regionally.

Oncorad Group initially specialized in cancer treatment before evolving into an integrated healthcare model focused on multidisciplinary excellence. Today, the group relies on advanced diagnostic technologies, next-generation radiotherapy, high-level medical imaging, and therapeutic monitoring systems, contributing to the modernization of Morocco’s healthcare landscape.

WHX Dubai highlights Morocco’s growing presence in high-tech medicine and reflects the country’s increasing investment in advanced healthcare solutions, particularly in fields such as robot-assisted surgery and precision treatment.
