The 5th edition of the Morocco Medical Expo officially opened on Thursday, April 16 , at the International Exhibition and Conference Center (ICEC) in Aïn Sebaâ, Casablanca, reaffirming the event’s strategic role as a leading platform supporting Morocco’s healthcare system reforms and enhancing its outreach across Africa and internationally.

The opening ceremony featured an inaugural conference, followed by the official launch of the exhibition at 3:00 p.m., attended by high-level personalities and key stakeholders from the healthcare sector, including institutional officials, experts, professionals, and representatives of public and private organizations from Morocco and abroad.

Running through April 19, this international event brings together the full spectrum of the healthcare ecosystem, including professionals, institutions, manufacturers, suppliers, and experts, in a shared effort to address the sector’s rapid transformations, strengthen synergies, and promote innovative solutions to current and future public health challenges.

The exhibition covers a wide range of key segments, including pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals and clinics, universities and private training institutions, medical equipment and devices, medical imaging, medical and paramedical consumables, pharmacies, optics, medical furniture, laboratory analysis, and medical transport services, reflecting the diversity and cross-sectoral nature of the healthcare ecosystem.

Positioned as a hub for innovation and professional exchange, Morocco Medical Expo 2026 provides a conducive environment for forging strategic partnerships, generating business opportunities, and showcasing the latest technological and medical advancements, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Moroccan stakeholders in a rapidly evolving sector.

The event aligns with Morocco’s vision for reform of  the national healthcare system, aimed at improving governance, expanding healthcare provision, generalizing social protection, and enhancing service quality, further strengthening Morocco’s position as a regional hub for healthcare and medical innovation, and as a driver of South-South cooperation.

Mapping medical knowledge at scale

Alongside the exhibition, a high-level, multidisciplinary scientific program is being held, featuring the 11th edition of the African Global Health Forum, the 10th edition of the Physiotherapy and Functional Rehabilitation Days, and the 9th edition of the National Biomedical Engineering Days, complemented by specialized conferences, technical workshops, and scientific sessions led by internationally renowned experts, academics, and physicians.

More than 130 speakers and experts are taking part in 23 scientific sessions covering over 70 topics across multiple medical and technical disciplines, structured around five main pillars: the African Global Health Forum, the Higher Institutes of Nursing and Health Techniques (ISPITS), physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation, biomedical engineering, and health information systems.

From an organizational standpoint, the exhibition spans nearly 8,000 square meters and hosts around 100 scientific conferences across five main halls. The event is expected to welcome more than 12,000 professional visitors, alongside nearly 120 exhibitors representing around 20 countries.

Open until April 19, Morocco Medical Expo 2026 offers a valuable opportunity for professionals to explore the latest innovations, expand international networks, and unlock promising business prospects in a fast-transforming sector.

Through this edition, Morocco continues to consolidate its position as a leading regional hub in healthcare and medical innovation, while reinforcing its continental and international influence and affirming its role as a key driver in advancing a sector closely linked to citizens’ quality of life.
