Rabat – Juventus are monitoring Moroccan international Sofyan El Karouani as part of their plans to strengthen the left side of the squad in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to Italian outlet Tutto Sport, El Karouani has emerged as a target for the club’s management. His contract with Utrecht is close to expiring, which means he could be available on a free transfer.
That possibility makes the deal attractive to Juventus, which is preparing to reshape several positions in the team.
The left‑back role is one of the areas under review, with uncertainty surrounding the future of current options.
The club is expected to make changes, potentially moving players out and bringing in new names to add depth and quality.
Media reports earlier this year suggested El Karouani had already agreed to join Saudi side Al‑Qadsiah once his contract with Utrecht ends.
Juventus’ interest now raises questions about whether a move to Serie A could still tempt the Moroccan defender.
El Karouani has enjoyed a productive campaign with Utrecht. He recorded three goals and 16 assists in 46 matches across all competitions, underlining his attacking contribution from the left flank.
His performances have caught the eye of scouts beyond the Eredivisie, adding weight to Juventus’ interest.
With his contract running down, El Karouani’s future will be decided in the coming weeks. Juventus are monitoring the situation closely as they prepare for a busy summer window, while Al‑Qadsiah remain confident of securing his signature.
