The Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT) is accelerating its strategic shift toward future-oriented skills, with a major expansion of its training offer planned for 2026-2027. The overall strategy will be backed by a budget of MAD 6.31 billion ($ 630 million).
The roadmap includes 880 training programs, 424,000 available training places, and the introduction of new courses aligned with emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, gaming, and the green economy.
The announcement was made during a two-session meeting of the OFPPT Board of Directors held in Rabat, chaired by the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, in the presence of Director General Loubna Tricha, employee representatives, the CGEM, and representatives of various ministerial departments.
The sessions focused on the approval of the 2024 performance report and the validation of the 2026 action plan and budget. The minister highlighted progress in implementing the Royal Roadmap for vocational training, stressing OFPPT’s involvement in the “Tadarroj” apprenticeship program targeting young people without formal qualifications.
Sekkouri also drew attention to the Office’s contribution to the Moroccan Academy of Aeronautics (MAA) through knowledge transfer initiatives. He announced the forthcoming reform of Law 60.17 governing continuing professional training.
For the 2026–2027 period, OFPPT will expand its training portfolio to 880 programs across 19 sectors and 29 subsectors, including the development of 65 programs, 43 of which are newly created. Particular emphasis is being placed on emerging professions linked to technological transformation and sustainable development, notably artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, gaming, and green economy-related fields.

With a nationwide network of 511 institutions, the organization will offer more than 424,000 training places, an increase of around 6,000 compared to the previous year.
In a bid to improve territorial equity in access to training, two mobile training caravans will be deployed in 2026, targeting rural and remote areas in the Fès-Meknès region, including Taounate, Taza, Sefrou, and El Hajeb, as well as the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, particularly Aghbala.
The year 2026 will also see the launch of new “Cities of Trades and Skills” in Fès-Meknès, Guelmim-Oued Noun, and Drâa-Tafilalet, bringing the total number of these innovative training hubs to 12. These centers are designed as modern, collaborative spaces equipped with advanced technologies to enhance hands-on learning and professional readiness.
On the operational and digital transformation front, OFPPT will continue implementing its Educational Organizations Management System (SMOE), in line with ISO 21001 standards, alongside the digitization of diplomas and the strengthening of cybersecurity across its information systems.
The goal is to bring more than 70% of institutions — over 224 establishments — into compliance with international standards. A training program totaling 5,000 training days will also be rolled out for teaching and administrative staff.
In closing, Minister Sekkouri reaffirmed OFPPT’s commitment to advancing structural projects in line with the High Royal Guidelines of King Mohammed VI.
