Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed that Achraf Hakimi has resumed individual training today, a huge step forward in his recovery and a timely piece of good news for both club and country.

The Moroccan right-back had been sidelined since suffering a hamstring tear in his right thigh on April 28 during the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich. The injury ruled him out of the return leg and forced PSG to manage the final stretch of the season without one of their most influential players.

In their latest medical update released ahead of the final Ligue 1 matchday, PSG confirmed that Hakimi is still following a tailored recovery program. As a result, he will miss the league match against Paris FC on Sunday.

The club has announced that the absence is not considered a major concern, especially with the Ligue 1 title already secured. The focus is now entirely on ensuring he returns at full fitness for the decisive matches ahead.

This return to light, individual training comes at a crucial moment — just 14 days before the UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest on May 30.

Positive news for Morocco too

Inside the club, there is growing optimism that Hakimi will be available for the final scheduled for May 30, or at least close to full readiness. His progress over the next two weeks will be carefully monitored, but early signs are encouraging.

His return would be a huge lift for PSG. Hakimi’s pace, energy and attacking threat down the right flank have been central to their European campaign, and his absence in recent weeks has been clearly felt.

The update is also being welcomed in Morocco, where the national team staff is closely tracking their right-back’s recovery. With the 2026 World Cup less than a month away, Hakimi’s gradual return to full fitness offers reassurance that he will have enough time to prepare properly for international duty.

For now, PSG are taking no risks. But after more than two weeks on the sidelines, Hakimi is finally back on the grass and edging closer to a possible return on one of the biggest nights of the season.
