Agadir – Morocco and Finland have strengthened their economic partnership with the signing of an agreement to establish a Morocco-Finland Business Council, aimed at deepening industrial and trade relations between the two countries.
The initiative was concluded in Helsinki by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), on the sidelines of the Finnish-Moroccan Economic Forum.
According to a statement shared by CGEM, the agreement seeks “to strengthen economic and industrial relations between Morocco and Finland” through the creation of a structured bilateral business platform.
“CGEM and the Finnish Industries Federation today signed a partnership agreement aimed at strengthening economic and industrial relations between Morocco and Finland, particularly through the establishment of the Moroccan Finnish Business Council,” CGEM announced today.
The signing ceremony brought together CGEM President Mehdi Tazi and Finnish Industries Executive Vice-President Petri Vuorio, in the presence of Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour and Finland’s Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio.
“The agreement aims to structure and develop exchanges between the Moroccan and Finnish business communities, encourage the emergence of tangible projects for joint investment, technology transfer, and the establishment of high value-added industrial partnerships,” CGEM said.
