Lille has turned down Arsenal’s €60 million offer for Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the French club reportedly holding out for at least €70 million amid growing interest from top European clubs, according to exclusive information from Africafoot.
The Premier League club identified the 18-year-old as one of its top transfer targets ahead of the summer transfer window. Impressed by Bouaddi’s rapid development and performances for Lille, Arsenal made a significant move of €60 million to secure his signature.
However, Lille remain firm in their position and are not willing to sell the young star for that amount. According to Africafoot, the French club values Bouaddi at a minimum of €70 million and believes his market value will continue to rise.
Arsenal scouts have reportedly been monitoring Bouaddi for several months. His maturity on the ball, technical quality, and potential have convinced the club that he could become a key player in the future.
Growing interest
The rejection is a setback for Arsenal, especially as competition for the Moroccan international continues to grow. Several European giants are also keeping a close eye on Bouaiddi, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Bouaddi’s market value has risen sharply following an impressive season with Lille and his recent decision to represent Morocco at international level. Those developments have made him one of the most sought-after young midfielders in European football.
Bouaddi market value is €50 million according to transfermarket, which makes him the second most expensive player in the Moroccan squad after Achraf Hakimi €80 million, and before Ibrahim Diaz €35 million.
Despite Lille’s refusal, the transfer battle is far from over. Arsenal remain interested, but they may have to increase their offer if they want to convince Lille to part ways with one of the brightest talents nowadays.
