Fez– As Morocco’s national football team prepares to begin its FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign, Airports of Morocco has unveiled a new institutional initiative titled “Let The Game Take Off.

The initiative is part of country’s airports authority plan to support major international sporting events and prepare for the 2030 World Cup.

The campaign is centered around a new promotional film that uses an animated comic-book style to draw a parallel between the performances of the Atlas Lions on the pitch and the work carried out every day by thousands of airport professionals across Morocco.

The film shows the efforts of airport staff, security teams, maintenance technicians, operational personnel, and passenger assistance agents, presenting them as part of a collective effort that contributes to Morocco’s international profile.

According to Airports of Morocco, the smooth operation of the country’s airports relies on close coordination between several public institutions, including the National Airports Office (ONDA), the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the Royal Gendarmerie, the Customs Administration, and the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.

The partnership aims to ensure efficient passenger flows while maintaining international standards of safety and airport operations.

The campaign also reflects a broader long-term strategy that goes beyond the immediate sporting calendar.

It builds on the existing partnership between ONDA and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) while supporting Morocco’s ambitions in mobility, connectivity, and the hosting of major international events.

Airports of Morocco said the initiative forms part of the wider “Airports 2030” strategy, which seeks to strengthen airport capacity and improve the passenger experience as the country prepares for a series of major global events.

The campaign also marks another step in Morocco’s preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which the Kingdom will co-host alongside Spain and Portugal.

Through “Let The Game Take Off,” Airports of Morocco aims to position airports not only as transport hubs but also as strategic assets that support logistics, national development, and the country’s international image at a time when Morocco is increasingly taking center stage in global sports.
