Agadir – The Moroccan Association of Management (AMG) and Spain’s Scientific Association of Economics and Business Management (ACEDE) have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen academic and scientific collaboration between researchers and doctoral students from both countries in the field of management sciences.
The agreement was signed in Santander, northern Spain, on the sidelines of ACEDE’s 35th Annual Congress, hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Management of Cantabria.
According to AMG, the agreement is designed to “promote scientific exchanges, the development of collaborative research projects, joint participation in academic events and closer ties between researchers, teacher-researchers and doctoral students from both countries.”
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of several international scientific organizations, including the Italian Association of Management (SIMA), the British Academy of Management (BAM), and the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM), of which both AMG and ACEDE are members.
AMG said the agreement is the result of sustained efforts initiated last year, with support from IFSAM members and its advisory council, whose contribution was described as “indispensable” in bringing the partnership to fruition.
The two associations will work to facilitate participation by Moroccan and Spanish researchers in international conferences and scientific symposiums, encourage joint research projects, and promote scientific publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals.
The partnership also places particular emphasis on supporting doctoral candidates and early-career academics. According to AMG, the initiative seeks to contribute to “the development of scientific knowledge and special support for young researchers and PhD students,” while helping integrate them into international academic networks.
AMG described the agreement as “an important step in strengthening the international presence of the Moroccan Management Association and consolidating its position within global academic networks.”
The association added that the framework will facilitate the exchange of researchers and expertise while creating opportunities for broader cooperation in scientific research and publication.
The two organizations expressed confidence that the agreement will usher in “a new dynamic of sustainable and constructive academic cooperation,” contributing to the quality of scientific research and knowledge production while opening new opportunities for researchers, academics, and professionals in management sciences across Morocco and Spain.
