Morocco Mobilizes Regional Investment Centers to Support Diaspora Projects

Agadir – Morocco’s Regional Investment Centers (CRIs) will mobilize from August 10 to 13 to support investment projects led by Moroccans living abroad, as part of a new edition of Investment Week dedicated to Moroccans of the World (MDM).

The initiative is being organized by the Ministry of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies in partnership with the CRIs, connecting Moroccans living abroad with investment opportunities across Morocco’s regions.

According to a ministry, the four-day initiative will provide investors with support in preparing, developing, and implementing their projects, while helping them identify opportunities suited to their plans.

The program will include meetings with CRI teams, information sessions on investment incentives and support mechanisms, presentations of sectoral and regional opportunities, and exchanges with local economic stakeholders.

Particular attention will be given to projects falling under the Very Small, Small and Medium Enterprises (VSMEs) category, with participants receiving information on eligibility criteria, available support, and relevant financing and assistance mechanisms.

The initiative is part of Morocco’s broader efforts to mobilize the skills, expertise, and investments of its diaspora in support of the country’s economic and territorial development.

The ministry said the initiative also contributes to the implementation of the Investment Charter, which seeks to improve Morocco’s investment attractiveness, simplify investors’ procedures, strengthen regional investment, and promote a more balanced distribution of investment nationwide.

Through the support mechanisms available under the charter, including schemes targeting VSMEs, project developers can receive tailored assistance aimed at fostering sustainable, innovative, and job-creating businesses.

Throughout the four-day program, CRIs will showcase the economic potential of Morocco’s various regions and help participants identify opportunities in high-potential sectors.

The ministry stressed that CRIs remain available throughout the year, both in Morocco and in countries where Moroccans living abroad reside, to inform, guide, and support investors at different stages of their projects.
