Rabat– Morocco’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), has announced an exceptional air program to Monterrey, Mexico, following the Atlas Lions’ qualification for the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The airline said it will operate 12 special flights with a total capacity exceeding 3,000 seats to enable Moroccan supporters to travel to Mexico and back for the team’s next World Cup fixture.
The program includes six outbound flights from Casablanca to Monterrey scheduled between Saturday and next Monday, as well as six return flights operating from Tuesday through Thursday.
RAM noted that the flights will be operated directly between Casablanca and Monterrey using new-generation long-haul aircraft, with each journey expected to last approximately 11 hours.
The airline has set a fixed round-trip fare of MAD 10,000 in economy class. Tickets will be non-refundable and non-changeable.
Sales opened today at 6 p.m. through Royal Air Maroc’s commercial agencies across Morocco.
The announcement comes after Morocco secured qualification for the knockout stage with a 4-2 victory over Haiti, finishing second in Group C behind Brazil. The Atlas Lions are set to play their Round of 32 match in Monterrey on Monday, June 29.
According to tournament projections, Morocco could face the Netherlands national football team, pending the final outcome of other group-stage matches.
Travelers heading to Mexico must hold a valid Mexican visa. However, holders of valid visas issued by the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, or a Schengen Area country will be exempt from that requirement and permitted to enter Mexico.
