Agadir – Moroccan medical devices company Promamec has signed a strategic partnership with global personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturer Ansell to introduce and expand the availability of the company’s medical protection solutions in Morocco.
The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony in Casablanca attended by executives from both companies alongside representatives from public and private sector partners.
The announcement comes as Morocco continues to implement sweeping healthcare reforms. These reforms include expanding social protection coverage, improving equitable access to healthcare services, modernizing hospital infrastructure, strengthening governance across the health system, and investing in the development of medical and paramedical professionals.
The two companies said the private sector has an important role to play by driving innovation, investment, and technology transfer to ensure healthcare institutions have access to high-quality medical solutions.
Under the agreement, Promamec will become the distributor of Ansell’s medical solutions in Morocco, including its ranges of surgical and examination gloves. The companies said the products meet stringent international standards for quality, safety, and clinical performance.
The collaboration aims to bring globally recognized personal protective solutions to Moroccan healthcare providers while relying on Ansell’s expertise in innovation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

He expressed confidence that the two companies’ shared vision would allow them to deliver high-quality medical products to the Moroccan market.
“We are confident that, with our fully aligned vision and strategies, we will be able to provide Moroccan patients and all users with high-quality products that meet and exceed their expectations and requirements,” he added.
Ekaterina Bogomolova, Vice President of Ansell’s Medical Commercial Unit for EMEA & ANZ, said Morocco represents a strategic market in the company’s broader African expansion plans.
“Today, we are very pleased to be here in Morocco for the official launch of our partnership with Promamec,” Bogomolova said. “Ansell has a strong commitment to expanding its presence across Africa, and Morocco, with its remarkable growth and development, is a natural choice for strengthening our footprint on the continent.”
She added that the partnership complements Morocco’s ongoing healthcare transformation by making advanced protective solutions more widely available.
“This partnership also aligns with the ongoing evolution of Morocco’s healthcare system. We have the solutions needed to support not only healthcare professionals but also patients, helping to improve patient care and enhance the overall quality of healthcare services,” she concluded.
