Casablanca – Football, business, and networking found common ground through the Legend Corporate World Cup (LCWC), where Moroccan companies and football legends shared the same pitch.
The inaugural edition came to a close today at Arena Park in Bouskoura, where six companies competed on the tournament’s final day, united by the values of teamwork, leadership, and fair play.
Mondial Service claimed the inaugural title, followed by Stellantis A in second place and AstraZeneca in third.
Stellantis B, Pfizer, and Podcast Lab rounded out the final standings.
Beyond the football, however, the tournament was built around a broader vision.
Speaking exclusively to Morocco World News (MWN) during the event, LCWC Founder and President Reda Bennis reflected on the vision behind the tournament, football’s power to unite people beyond competition, and the values driving the initiative.
Friendship and fair play at the heart of LCWC
Bennis said the tournament places friendship and fair play above competition while creating opportunities for networking and strengthening professional relationships.
He explained that bringing together companies whose employees already play football, alongside Moroccan football legends, was the idea that inspired the creation of the LCWC.
“We have companies playing against each other, and they are friends during this event. The most important thing for us is friendship and fair play,” he told MWN.
According to Bennis, the tournament also creates lasting memories beyond the workplace, allowing employees to step onto the pitch alongside Moroccan football legends before returning to the office with an experience they can share with their colleagues and families.
‘Football brings nations together’
He also spoke about football’s unique ability to bring people together, pointing to the sport’s power to overcome divisions that often extend beyond the pitch.
“We’ve seen sometimes the United States playing against Iran, something that football could do, that politics couldn’t do for many years,” Bennis explained.
For LCWC’s founder, that same spirit of unity lies at the heart of the Legend Corporate World Cup, where competition serves not only to crown a champion but also to build lasting relationships between companies, colleagues, and football icons.
As the curtain falls on its first edition, the LCWC aims to establish itself as a recurring fixture on Morocco’s corporate sports calendar, combining football, networking, and shared experiences in a format that extends well beyond the final whistle.
