Morocco’s Azzedine Ounahi scored twice and provided relief by finding the net on two occasions and was of course, named Man of the Match.

The Atlas Lion had a spectacular match and created joy for millions of Moroccans who left their homes to celebrate the national team’s win.

Morocco won tonight’s game 3-0 against Canada, which started aggressively and made several attempts in the first half. Morocco’s team changed and came back better and with more confidence in the second half.

Following the game, Azzedine Ounahi thanked all the players for their outstanding performance and thanked fans for their everyday support.

He said he takes joy in seeing Moroccans supporting the Atlas Lions whenever and wherever they play, expressing that he is impressed to see them going out to celebrate every win.

Ounahi also thanked Morocco’s football federation, especially King Mohammed VI, for the support.

Morocco erupted with celebrations across the world, and many diaspora members went out and celebrated the win in cafes, streets, fan zones, and on every occasion.

Now Morocco will either face France or Paraguay, who will play tonight at 10 p.m. Moroccan time. Many websites predict France to go through and face Morocco. Morocco and France last faced each other in the semifinals of the 2022 World Cup, when the national team qualified for the final four but lost to France.

Could Morocco make it and get past France in a challenging and decisive game ahead? Yes, it can. Yassine Bounou is making a tremendous effort in the tournament and could save Morocco’s net, while Saibari, Hakimi, Diaz, Bouaddi, and Mazraoui can stand up and thrill Les Bleus to make history and qualify once again for a memorable semifinal.
