Rabat- Real Madrid is reportedly keeping an eye on Spanish forward Ferran Torres to boost their attacking line ahead of the upcoming season.
Torres gave Spain a stunning goal that contributed to their triumph in the 2026 World Cup final on July 19 against Messi’s Argentina, securing Spain’s second World Cup trophy. The 26-year-old entered as a substitute in the second half before scoring in extra time to make history and earn the Man of the Match award.
After PSG was leading the race to sign Ferran Torres, especially since PSG coach Luis Enrique already knows his qualities from their experience together, Real Madrid has now entered the race following his historic World Cup final goal, trying to sign him from their traditional rivals FC Barcelona.
According to L’Equipe, Real Madrid has set its sights on the Spaniard. Ferran has been on Madrid’s radar since 2020, back when he was at Valencia, and their interest in signing him has now returned.
While many outlets said that Ferran had already agreed personal terms with PSG, L’Equipe reported that these talks have not started yet. However, the 26-year-old forward remains open to discussions with Enrique, who made it clear that he wants him to sign for the French giants.
Ferran’s contract runs until 2027, which means any team interested in signing him will have to negotiate with the Catalan side.
On 28 December 2021, FC Barcelona and Manchester City reached an agreement for the transfer of Ferran Torres on a five-year deal until 2027. The deal was €55m plus a further €10m in add-ons for the forward, before he was officially unveiled as a Barca Player at Camp Nou on 3 January.
