Agadir – Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces (FAR) will mark this year’s Throne Day celebrations with a series of aerial performances and parachute demonstrations across northern Morocco and Sale on July 30 and 31.
The events commemorate the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne and are expected to showcase the capabilities of the Royal Air Force and the national military parachuting team.
According to the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Air Force’s renowned “Green March” aerobatic team will perform air shows over the coast of M’diq on July 30 and along the Martil Corniche on July 31. Both performances are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
Meanwhile, visitors to the Bouregreg Marina in Sale will be able to watch exhibition parachute jumps throughout the day on Thursday, July 30, beginning at 10 a.m.
The demonstrations will be carried out by male and female members of Morocco’s national military parachuting team and will feature precision landing exercises, canopy formations, artistic aerial displays, acrobatic maneuvers, and freefall formations.
The annual performances form part of the nationwide festivities held to celebrate Throne Day, one of Morocco’s most significant national holidays. The day commemorates King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne on July 30, 1999. It is traditionally marked by official ceremonies, cultural events, and public celebrations across the country.
