Casablanca – The Mohamed Salah saga has taken another turn. Trabzonspor have stepped up their pursuit of the Egyptian international and have already submitted a particularly ambitious official offer.
The Turkish club is offering a two-year contract with an estimated annual salary of €17 million. This offer puts Trabzonspor in an excellent position to convince the former Liverpool star to continue his career in Turkey.
Negotiations between the two parties are now reportedly at a very advanced stage, and a full agreement with the player is within reach. This development has had immediate consequences for Beşiktaş, who were previously considered the favorites to sign Salah.
The Istanbul club, which had reached a verbal agreement with Mohamed Salah on a one-year contract with an option for an additional year, accompanied by a net salary of 10 million euros per season and 2 million euros in bonuses, has decided to suspend discussions until further notice.
While no final agreement has yet been officially announced, Trabzonspor now appear to have edged ahead in the race to seal the deal for the Egyptian star, whose market value is estimated at €22 million.
