Rabat – Wydad Athletic Club has stepped up its summer transfer activity, announcing three new signings as the Moroccan giants continue to reshape their squad ahead of the 2026-2027 season under new head coach Paulo Sérgio.
Aymane El Hassouni
The Casablanca-based club confirmed the arrivals of midfielder Aymane El Hassouni, goalkeeper Rachid Ghanimi, and left-back Hamza Jnan Allah, combining experienced talent with familiar faces as it prepares for domestic and continental competitions.
El Hassouni returns to Wydad on a one-year contract with an option to extend for an additional season. The former captain is expected to bring leadership and experience to the squad after previously enjoying a successful spell with the Reds.
In its announcement, Wydad described El Hassouni as a player who understands the club’s values and identity, expressing confidence that his technical qualities and leadership will strengthen the team throughout the upcoming campaign.
Rachid Ghanimi
The club also secured the signing of Rachid Ghanimi, who joins from FUS Rabat after spending the past three seasons with the capital club. The goalkeeper signed a three-year contract, adding experience and competition between the posts.
Hamza Jnan Allah
Another returning face is Hamza Jnan Allah, who signed a three-year deal after arriving from Olympique Dcheira. The 25-year-old left-back is a product of Wydad’s youth academy, having progressed through all age categories before continuing his development elsewhere.
His return reflects the club’s willingness to reintegrate academy graduates capable of contributing immediately to the first team.
The trio joins Wydad during an active transfer window that follows the appointment of Portuguese coach Paulo Sérgio, who was named head coach last week as the club begins a new chapter.
With several new additions already confirmed, Wydad appears determined to build a balanced squad capable of competing for the Botola Pro title and making a strong impact in continental competitions next season.
