Rabat – Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s friendly against Manchester United on Saturday as he has yet to return to first-team training following the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Hakimi is scheduled to resume training with PSG on Monday alongside several teammates who were also granted additional time off after representing their national teams at the World Cup.
The group includes Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Lucas Digne, and Fabián Ruiz.
As a result, the players will not feature in PSG’s friendly against Manchester United and are expected to rejoin the squad at the start of next week as the French club continues preparations for the 2026-27 season.
Hakimi’s return will be particularly important for PSG, with the Moroccan defender remaining one of the club’s key players and a major attacking threat from the right flank.
The friendly against Manchester United will therefore take place without several of PSG’s World Cup participants as the European champions gradually bring their squad back together ahead of the new campaign.
