Casablanca – Morocco continued their preparations on Tuesday with another training session at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora ahead of their upcoming international fixtures.
The session formed part of the national team’s preparations for Friday’s opening AFCON 2027 qualifier against Gabon, as head coach Mohamed Ouahbi works with his squad before the first competitive test of the international break.
Most of the players called up took part in the session, while Ismael Saibari and Achraf Hakimi remain away from the group. The pair are expected to join their teammates on Wednesday.
With the Gabon clash drawing closer, the Atlas Lions will continue working at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in the coming days before turning their attention to the first of two qualifying matches.
Morocco will host Gabon on Friday, September 25, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Atlas Lions will then travel to South Africa to face Lesotho on September 29 at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
Morocco will conclude the international break with a friendly against Ghana on October 4 at the Grand Stade de Tanger.
