Agadir – Canadian mining company Aya Gold & Silver has reported new high-grade drilling results from its Boumadine silver-gold project in Morocco, according to the company press statement released today.
The company said the results came from its ongoing infill drilling program and support further resource growth at Boumadine, located in Morocco’s eastern region.
Aya reported several significant intercepts along the 5.4-kilometer Boumadine Main Trend.
The one-meter interval contained 1.90 g/t of gold, 2,477 g/t of silver, 3.4% zinc, and 3.2% lead.
“Today’s high-grade results continue to demonstrate the continuity, width and potential at Boumadine,” Aya President and CEO Benoit La Salle said.
“With over 145,000 metres drilled year-to-date and 14 drills currently turning, we are aggressively advancing the 2026-2027 infill and expansion program ahead of the updated Feasibility Study expected next year,” he added.
Aya said it completed 406 diamond drill holes totaling 145,719 meters at Boumadine during 2026. The drilling has covered the Main Trend, Tizi, and Imariren zones.
The company has completed 38.6% of its planned 360,000-meter infill drilling program, which will run through 2026 and 2027.

The Boumadine Main Trend currently extends over 5.4 kilometers, while the Tizi and Imariren zones extend over 2 kilometers and 1.2 kilometers.
The company plans to continue infill drilling over the next 15 months following its latest preliminary economic assessment.
The Boumadine project is part of Aya’s broader expansion strategy in Morocco. The company is preparing a $500 million investment program through 2030, with plans to increase silver production and begin gold production in the country for the first time.
Aya has already invested around $400 million in Morocco and is targeting its first gold production by 2029, according to La Salle.
Aya holds an 85% stake in the Boumadine polymetallic project, while Morocco’s National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) owns the remaining 15%.
The company launched a study for the project in early 2026, with the study covering engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, environmental and social work, and other development requirements.
