Agadir – Moroccan security authorities arrested a 23-year-old French national at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca today, after an Interpol check found that he was wanted internationally under a Red Notice issued at the request of French authorities.
The suspect was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by French judicial authorities, Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said.
The Interpol database check showed that the man was wanted under a Red Notice issued at the request of the National Central Bureau in Paris over his alleged involvement in an attempted intentional homicide case.
According to preliminary investigation information, the suspect is allegedly linked to an attempted homicide involving a firearm. The incident reportedly took place in Paris in 2025.
Following his arrest, the suspect was placed under extradition proceedings ordered by the competent public prosecutor’s office.
