Rabat – President Barack Obama’s family on Wednesday served Thanksgiving dinner to a group of homeless veterans at Friendship Place Homeless Center in Washington.
A video posted on YouTube showes Obama serving food to homeless people, while exchanging greeting expressions and thanks with them in a jovial atmosphere.
Obama was in charge of serving slices of turkey and gravey. His wife Michelle served vegetables while Sasha and Malia were dishing out mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
“It’s not only of the spirit of giving during this holiday season, but our national obligation to make sure all those who serve and sacrifice for our country have a place to call home,” Obama said from the Rose Garden, according to CNN.
“My administration considers this one of our top priorities, making sure that we’re bringing about the reality of zero homelessness for our veterans,” he added.
